EVERYONE is sick of LinkedIn

Since Covid, something really limiting has happened to us.

We’ve all gone online - and I get it. We had to.

The entire world shut down and we all had to take our businesses online so that we could survive.

But now? In 2025?

Online is the last place you should be trying to convert your audience into clients.

The content and marketing gurus would have you think otherwise.

There’s so much advice being thrown at us from over the place about how we should be creating content all the time.

Posting.

Commenting.

DMing.

And if your LinkedIn inbox isn’t packed with inbound leads, these gurus make you think that you’re failing. That there is something wrong with your business.

And I can’t help but think that nothing could be further from the truth.

Here’s why:

Everyone is sick of LinkedIn - except the LinkedIn gurus.

Everyone is posting with rage (because vanity metrics have made us all feel shit about ourselves), railing against the algorithm (and yet still trying to satisfy it), and spending hours on the platform trying to get more work there - instead of working on their businesses.

There are other time-sucking, three-headed monster content platforms out there - luring us in, trying to take our focus off our mission and purpose in life. They must be destroyed - or at the very least, ignored.

Because we are not in the middle of a pandemic anymore.

We are in 2025 - spaces are open. Events are happening. People are meeting - shaking hands, hugging and sharing stories over buffets.

In-person networking is back and people are desperate for it. We’ve spent years sitting at our laptops, staring into the Zoom void (some of us not wearing pants), and meeting people from around the world. And it has been glorious. Covid opened up partnerships and opportunities that have been life-changing.

But now? Now it’s time to put our pants back on and get back into the real world.

This is how you grow your business.

This is how you excel in your company.

This is how you stop playing small.

And I want to show you how.

I want to show you the power of what is possible when you get up on stages and share your boldest voice.

The people you will meet.

The places you will go.

The money you will make.

The changes you will affect.

It’s time to get back out there. It’s time to stop playing small (LinkedIn is a small game. You’re way bigger than that).

It’s time to evolve as a thought leader.

It’s time to go beyond the computer screen.

It’s time to stop thinking about beating algorithms and start thinking about how you can change someone’s life by delivering a talk that opens up possibility in their world.

You are bigger than blogging.

You are bigger than LinkedIn.

You have a message to share with the world.

And I want to help you find the voice that will deliver it.

I have two bits of deliciousness for you today, Reader. Because Fridays are for giving - I mean, that's what they are for me. Sooooooo....here we go! DELICIOUSNESS NUMBER ONE: Something lovely happened to me a little while ago. I met someone called Pete. Pete is an actor, like me. And like me, he's also started his own business. And he has a podcast! It's called Not a Straight Line. Yesterday, our chat together dropped - and I have to say, I'm pretty jazzed about it. Pete's episodes are...

I'm a small person - physically. I'm not very tall. And in crowds, I'm easily shoved. Because other people are VERY important and they have to be places. Me and my smallness can fuck right off in this cases. Except, I'm kind of over it. A man pushed me the other day in London Bridge. I told him not to. I happened to be voice noting a friend at the time - so I happened to record it. Which happens to be here - so you can listen to it. I don't know if you need to hear this today but... NO ONE...

Reader! I have just removed myself from the house-moving pile of shit that has been my life for the past three weeks to say HELLO! Yep, I bought a flat. It's the biggest, scariest thing I've ever done. And I feel incredible. Like...just beyond the beyond. I. HAVE. ARRIVED. And I've learned a few things - 👉 Moving is exhausting. I've not been this tired in the longest time. Yesterday, I lay down on my bed in the middle of the day and crashed. 👉 Boxes take up a lot of space - and they're really...
